TONY G. REES, CPA, ABV, CFF
Tony Rees, a Certified Public Accountant, previously worked for two of the nation's largest public accounting firms in Chicago and Davenport, and also in private accounting in New York. He provided accounting services to schools, governmental units and private enterprises in addition to providing income tax services. While in practice he also has experience in fraud examination services, forensic accounting, personal injury, business valuation services, and estate planning.
In 1980 he established the accounting firm of Rees, Lambert & Associates, which merged with Carver, Michaels, Taylor & Co., in 1986.
He also has served on the Board of Directors of a medium-sized data processing center in Moline, Illinois.
He has a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb and also holds an advanced banking degree from the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin.
Mr. Rees has maintained a high level of continuing education which includes various courses in taxation, auditing, accounting, and business valuation, including significant continuing education in governmental accounting and auditing.
Mr. Rees is a member of The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Iowa and Illinois Societies of Certified Public Accountants and of the Institute of Business Appraisers, Inc. (IBA).
He is also licensed to practice in Iowa and Illinois and is Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) and is Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) by the AICPA's Forensic and Valuation Services Section of Certified Puvlic Accountants and of the Institute of Business Appraisers (IBA).
